1. Giving Money
Down, or a Down Payment. |
 |
 |
| |
Never – Ever
– give any money up front. You should only receive an invoice
once the job has been completed, NOT
before. |
| |
|
| |
|
 |
2. Signing a contract
with a 3 day right to cancel. |
 |
 |
| |
You should be able
to Reserve the right to cancel anytime before the job starts, not
just (3) days after you sign the contract. How the (3) day cancellation
works is, when you sign a contract and then you change your mind,
you have to have the cancellation notice IN
their office within (3) days. If it gets there on the fourth day,
you lose!! If you mail it, it should go registered mail. This means
either a trip to their office or a trip to the post office the day
after you sign the contract to allow enough time for the letter to
get there. See sample contract below for more details. |

3. Assuming a lifetime
warranty means something. |
 |
 |
| |
Must be clear and
in writing on the contract that the gutter cover product and the guttering
will not clog!! Not just the guttering alone. |
| |
| What
is wrong with this picture? |
| Product
has lifetime warranty, gutters are clean, but the product
is clogged. Rain water can not get into gutter, this problem
is NOT covered under warranty. |
|
|
 |
5. You did NOT read
the fine print on back of the contract. |
 |
 |
| |
Always read the back of any contract. Click on
and read one of our competitor's contracts to the right. Please be
sure to read the highlighted paragraphs. |
