Gutter Cap has a no clog throat designed so all debris will fall off or wash down the guttering. The only hard cover product where the manufacturer takes responsibility for cleaning the product and/or gutter if either would clog. The extra hardness of the titanium material makes Gutter Cap very resistant to dents. The Kynar finish will stand up to harsh weather and will not fade.

Black Diamond is a combination of expanded metal base that is painted with a powdered coating and an aluminum fine mesh for performance. The design is ideal for most homes and does not interfere with shingles, or penetrate the roof. The combination of the strength of the expanded metal and the performance of the mesh screen to protect your gutters from maple tree seeds, oak and ash tree tassels. Excellent for all roofs, including: slate, shake, flat, tile, and metal.

Industry Summary:
TruGuard® has a nose forward design like Gutter Helmet® and a similar warranty. If the gutter clogs, it is covered under warranty. If the product clogs, it is NOT covered under the warranty (similar to Gutter Helmet®). If the product becomes clogged, even though the gutters are clean, it is the customers responsibility to have the product cleaned. TruGuard installs over or under the shingles and in most cases does NOT penetrate the roofing.

Industry Summary:
Leafproof® design is similar to some other cover products and will keep your gutters clean, but the Leafproof cover may clog. The manufacturer suggests that you clean the debris from the ground with a garden hose and a high pressure nozzle using soap and water periodically. Leafproof does NOT penetrate the roof. Paul Harvey recommends this product on his radio show.

Hallett® is the most affordable with lowest up front cost and easy to install. It is a solid piece of aluminum without holes, slots or mesh. The gutters may eventually clog and because the warranty is limited to the material only, you may have to pay to have someone remove the covers, clean the gutters and reinstall covers if they become clogged.
